CokskiBlue’s Must-Watch Episodes of 2007!
Dec 31
The year 2007 is indeed a very special time for pinoy video blogging. A lot of Filipinos has become aware of it especially with the rise of YouTube Superstar, Christine Gambito of HappySlip. I was one of those fortunate people who got inspired because of her work and discovered this wonderful art of expressing different stories and experiences through moving images crafted with awesome music. April 18, 2007 – that was the day I published my first vlog. And I could not stop ever since.
Now, here are the Top 10 Must-Watch Episodes of CokskiBlue of 2007 according to number of views (from Youtube and Revver), comments and general feedback:
UP Miss Eng’g 2007: Talentado Kang Pusa Ka!
Dec 28This makes me sooo proud. Hold your horses! This is Jet, my brother, when he joined the most recent, and prestigious(?) UP Miss Engineering 2007! Who knew Catwoman could pull off Papaya and Marimar? Watch and see for yourself!
Prizes, Prizes, Prizes!
Dec 27First off, I would like to greet everyone – Happy Holidays!
From Engineering Week to Year-end parties – I did and still have my hands full and although I got really sick for a couple of days, vacation is a blast so far.
Now that I have a couple of uninterrupted hours of free internet time, let me spend it on some Entrecard dropping and whaddayaknow – a new post about prizes I got, prizes I want and prizes I’m giving away.
Gotcha. By the spirit of the holidays, let me declare my feeling of utmost gratitude to Ms. Janette Toral and to the Filipina Writing Project for awarding my post – The Funniest Filipina Vloggers – as one of the most liked entries of the bunch. With the $100 prize, I finally got enough to buy a new digital camera (a Casio Exilim) which is on top of my new year’s wishlist (and a HUGE necessity for this vlog) . Thank you, thank you, thank you Ma’am Janette!
Wanna. Also, a big congratulations to my high school buddy, Marius “Yos” Oczon, for winning the Grand
Prize (a 13″ Macbook) for his Nescafe 3-in-1 flick that I featured here on CokskiBlue! With Yos’s victory and this Eng’g Week filmfest’s great turnout, I just might try my luck on these video-making contests this 2008!
Gimme. And finally, I would like to apologize to the uBlog, iVlog winners – Sir Manuel, Jon and Mikaela for the delayed “delivery” of your prizes. I know I promised to do the videos this year but time was not on my side. And since it’s the first time I’m giving these away, I’m kinda lost on which and what specifics I should ask for. So I’m very, very sorry guys. Don’t worry I’m working on it now. And you will be receiving an e-mail from me in the coming days.
I’m cooking up an all-new video. Something that you guys are pretty familiar of. Hopefully I start 2008 with a bang. Happy New Year!
Teaser: The UP Pep Squad at the Lantern Parade 2007!
Dec 22For the first time, a record-breaking number of Engineering students joined the annual UP Diliman Lantern Parade. Before I show the parade coverage, I took a detour and shot some footage of the UP Pep Squad doing their thang.
Enjoy!
Episode 25, Part 2: Indakan Na!
Dec 20Get Ready to Dance to the Music of Anime!
This is my most favorite Eng’g Soc event so far. The performance greatly wow’ed the members and has exceeded my expectations. Watch as UP Engineering Society grooves to the tunes of the anime series, “One Piece”!
And for another treat, here’s last year’s Indakan when yours truly (yes, you heard that right) joined the group to perform and danced to the songs of Kamikazee! Video after the jump!
