Discovering Pinoy Vloggers in 2007
By Coy on Jan 1, 2008 in Not a Vlog, Blogging

One of the few interesting things that got me really pumped up last year was the discovery of these people who decided to pick up a video camera one day and share their talents and stories to the world. Some of them didn’t have the latest editing software, or the high-end equipment - all that’s present was them, that good ol’ camera, and YouTube.
The variety of these Pinoy video blogs is really exciting. From simple talks to the camera to photo-vlogging to events coverage, interviews and big productions, I stumbled upon new ways of making this medium work and making it accessible and interesting to existing bloggers and non-bloggers alike.
So now, ladies and gentlemen, I am honored to present to you - the Filipino Vlogs (Video Blogs) that I was introduced to so far:
Personal
- Benj Espina
- Bikoy Villanueva
- Brodcst Msktir
- Daniel Jr.
- JayWalker
- Jeric on the Tube
- JoeBreaker
- Jonjon Barros
- Remcyl Gamboa
- Tanggera
- Than-than’s Journey of Thoughts
- The McVie Show
- The Vegan Prince (YouTube)
- Touched by an Angel *NEW!
- Toyo’s Way (YouTube)
Humor
Tutorials
Society and Lifestyle
Technology
- Digital Filipino
- You Got Tech *NEW!
Now these are the Pinoy Vloggers I know so far. I know there are lots more on YouTube but I just limited the list to those who have been, in some way, already associated with the Pinoy Blogosphere as a whole. For 2008, CokskiBlue will be exploring more aspects of these and more pinoy video blogs.
If you have or know someone with a video blog (at least one post in video), then leave a comment so that I can include you on the list.
Let us all discover the video blogger in us.
Want money to start your own vlog? If you are thinking about enrolling in a cash advance but you need to find out about a payday loan before diving in then may find it useful to go online and hunt for some more info. You just may find that cash advances is right for you.

Hi coy! Does my recent vlog qualify me for this list? Wehehehe =P
Of course.
Will be updating the list ASAP.
I googled “filipino vlogs” and this site came up as one of the top hits - nice. I am Norwegian, I live in Denmark, and I have a pinay girl-friend from Leyte, so I wanted to get to know if there are people from PH doing what interests me so much: Videoblogging.
Thank you for this list, it is a great entry-point to the Phil vlogosphere.
Now I’m a subscriber!

A question for Coy and all the vloggers who’ll drop by here:
What do you use for shooting vlogs? Handycam? A Point-and-shoot camera with video shooting capability?
How do you edit your videos? What software do you use? Would it be enough to just use Windows movie maker?
All of these questions from someone who’s interested to do a vlog someday
