A Problem that Stretches Across Waters
We’ve seen how our countrymen suffer each day here in the cities of Manila because of unemployment, overpopulation and poverty. And we can see Manila Bay as one of the cites where the poor wander to find food, pity, or just plain luck on the sidewalks. As these people watch the sunset, another cold night awaits to resurface and you find them wishing they’re on the other side of the waters. But reality is, what lies beyond the stretches of Manila Bay is not that different. Residents of Bacoor Bay, a small barangay here in Cavite, are working day ang night to make ends meet. And I know some of these great people. I’ve seen how they lived. Or survived. Now, it’s up to me and to everyone else who sees injustice, pain, and suffering, to make the whole world aware that Filipinos are one with the world, the human race, in fighting against poverty.
Let’s start with words. And dare turn it into action.
hmm.
what are you thinking?
Those are points that are worth thinking about. Plus a slimmer Cokskiblue.
I agree. But the slimmer me is more mind-boggling. lolz.
Not that I wouldn’t want to live in the Philippines, but I’m so thankful to my parents that they chose to make a life here in Canada. I know I’m lucky.
We are lucky indeed. The way of living of Bacoor Bay is very far different from how the rest of Bacoor lives. Makes you wonder how can a place very near you be so different – almost a separate world. And the governing body can’t do anything about it. Just sad.

Coy! In college I did an immersion in that area. In fairness it really makes one realize how lucky we are. You picked a wonderful spot to show what the pollution of Manila Bay (and Bacoor Bay) has done to this coastal community… and rendered it into a scene in Philippine poverty.
Hey hey George!
I’m interested on what you did in Bacoor Bay. Kwento naman tsong. Hehe.
In fairness to the place, may astig ka rin na maeexperience – like catch tahong in the middle (cleaner spot) of the bay. And boating. I just don’t know how bad they get hit pag may bagyo.
Yung basura from Manila Bay, I’m sure maraming napapadpad sa Bacoor. Makes me wonder how they still can catch clean Talaba and Tahong in the area.
Thanks buddy!
Hi, Give something to help those hungry people in Africa and India,

With regard to Touchstone, is it true that it will not come with an additional charging cord? ,
However, developing countries are most at risk of climate change not because they will experience greater climate change, but because they lack adaptive capacity to cope with its impacts. ,
