Last Minute Mensa Exam Tips
Last Minute Mensa Exam Tips
Nov 30It is now examination day for those people who dared to take the challenge – the Mensa
IQ testing marathon at the Bonifacio High Street later from 11 AM to 5 PM. Now let me just share the tips given to us by Chris Tan – Mensa Philippines President and by other bloggers who took the exam:
1. Breeze through the first 10-20 items of the exam. This will be the easiest part of the test. Once you get into the rhythm, it should be easy figuring out the patterns from one item to the next. The last part will “rape” your mind (lolz). Be sure to focus more on items 30 and up.
2. Sometimes, it is simpler than you would expect. During the exam, you might feel a bit doubtful of your answers because it is just too easy. Guys. This is an IQ exam. Not College Physics or Calculus. If the answer makes the most sense to you, then you’re probably right.
3. If an item drives you crazy, LEAVE IT. Then go back if you still have time. Guess the answer if you don’t.
4. Be aware of the 30-minute time limit but don’t be too anxious of it. Looking at your watch every 30 seconds will only distract you from your train of thought.
5. It’s the last 30 seconds and you still have a couple of numbers unanswered? Don’t panic. Breathe in. Breathe out.
Remember that these tips won’t assure a passing grade – but these might help you get a more accurate picture of your IQ. Good luck and have fun later!
